TruWest Morgans

We began raising Morgan horses on our ranch in Eastern Montana over 50 years ago, to meet our family’s need for tough, intelligent cow horses.

Our breeding program is built on bloodlines from the old LU and Cross Ranches of Wyoming and the historic Jackson Ranch of Montana. We breed for tough horses that can pack a grownup all day and know how to carry themselves in the open. Our horses are gentle, intelligent, and born with talent for working cattle.

We stand two stallions, TruWest Navajo Silver and TruWest Smokey Mntn Chief. Every year we offer well-built, beautiful, and intelligent Morgan foals who will go on to work on ranches, compete in performance and show events, or become partners for families and other Morgan Horse breeders.
